Williams Fasteners, was founded in 1870 by the Williams brothers, and was based at Green Lane in Shalesmoor in Sheffield until 1997. The company then relocated to the outskirts of Sheffield near the M1 to make distribution easier The signs on the outside say it made screws, nails and the likes. Now it is empty and derelict. Past Reports: 1 2 3 Of we go to Record Marples Tools it was a bright sunny sunday morning just what we wanted, 2 bags full of gear a total of four cameras and gizmo the hound. We get there all borded up our harts sink then i know walk past Williams Fasteners, i had the 10 mil wide angel on the 20D, in we walk and fuck when you get this place in the right light it works over 3 hours, 3 films shout 2 diital cameras fill of images.

Ill post the film images when i have them printed, here are just a few of what was one of the better times we have had in there:

Despite their oh so revolutionary rhetoric the G20 protesters don’t really understand the lifestyles of those who have found themselves impoverished by current events. The vast majority of working class people do not hanker after the trappings of middle class consumerism, we are not the ultra-competitive wankers that their education system would like us to be. And yet Schnews has declared…

“Poverty hasn’t been made history but is instead coming home to us. A response – albeit harsh – to those affected by the credit crunch is ‘welcome to the majority world’.9 0% of the world’s population don’t go through consumer goods as if they fell out of a corn flakes packet, so why should we in Britain? ”

This attitude is typical of middle class ‘activists’; they see the working class as somehow responsible for climate change and consumerism. Even if the working class were a glut on world resources – the real statistics show a different story where the oh so fucking eco middle class hog the wealth and use more resources than anyone else – we would only be doing what was expected of us under a system designed and controlled by the middle class. The same issue of schnews goes on to quote Duritti…

We are not in the least afraid of ruins. We are going to inherit the earth, there is not the slightest doubt about that. The bourgeoisie might blast and ruin its own world before it leaves the stage of history. We carry a new world, here, in our hearts. That world is growing this minute”. -

Bienventura Durruti – 1936

But Spain in 1936 had already witnessed practical, grass-roots anarchism in it’s towns and villages. People had learnt first hand that they could change the world around them and, as working class people, they had the skills to do so. The modern middle class militant living in their Brighton enclave has no idea how to even interact with working class communities, let alone fucking inspire them to create a new world in the corpse of the old.

So what do the militant middle class have to offer us. Apparently Anthropology Lecturers can tie a noose if the posturing of Chris Knight is anything to go by. Some of them are good at planting flowers, many of them are web designers and they all write darn good letters to their MPs. But when it comes to the shit work of cleaning their sewers (or digging their humanure pits) and picking their organic crops, we know full well that we’ll be back to square one in no time at all.

Who are the MPs? Who are the bankers? Who are the businessmen? Who are the parasites? They are none other than the middle class. Despite their claims to radicalism they maintain a position of privilege and, as the writer of the Schnews article has shown all too clearly, they cannot disguise their contempt of the working class.

None of this is new, it is all too familiar in the history of working class struggle. As my namesake, Jack Common, wrote many years ago…

“One of the distressing things about the socialist movement is the remarkable number of twisters and crooks it turns out. Not even borstal apparently produces so many ornaments of a piratical society as the movement which discovered the piracy. The biography of almost any Socialist leader is apt to be the story of a falling rocket.”

The Militant Middle Class are overwhelmingly composed of ‘twisters’ and ‘crooks’; working class people are all too aware of this, but Middle Class activists – with typical arrogance – see our unwillingness to indulge their fantasies as a lack of political understanding or class consciousness. But we’re savvy enough to know our enemy and we also know that a Middle Class media circus like the G20 protest will never help to improve conditions in working class communities. Again, Jack knew what was needed…

Socialism must be built in the working-class, by the creation of nerve-centres throughout that class which provide cultural contacts and prepare the new world-feeling which is the basis of the new order. We will have inevitably parties of the class-war. What we need is communities in which classlessness is a virtue and is understood in all its forms.

Yours in working class solidarity,

Jack Common/underclassrising.net

There,s definitely some feeling of loss somewhere in us, the lack off free, un commercial space that people can use to congregate socially creativity & politically in this city is absolutely deadening. Every corner is an imposing tower of glass, some kind of fucked up of monument to obscene excess, leering over the passers by, while mammon snares a look, her people are killed because the things of they build in her praise. Scurrying past, Scurrying on…. in a city of urban paranoia then they ask why we are un well? As we watch “the specture of the feast”

A Zimbabwean woman and her two daughters who fled the Mugabe regime are to be deported from Britain despite promises by the Government to protect the country’s citizens.

Priviledge Thulambo, 39, whose husband was murdered by Robert Mugabe’s men, and her children are being detained in a controversial immigration centre after being seized by immigration officers on Friday.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/home-office-to-deport-zimbabwean-family-who-fled-mugabes-regime-1066094.html

If the family are removed to Malawi, this will almost inevitably result in deportation to their homeland of Zimbabwe and their potential torture and death, a fate which previously befell her husband, mother and brother causing her to flee Zimbabwe in the first place.

Your support and numbers can help make a difference to this wonderful family, who have provided so much to their local community.

Please help us to stop this huge tragedy from occurring by joining our group and in doing so declaring that the Thulambo family must not be removed from the UK.

Please write on the wall any personal message you want sending to the family and to those we are calling on to stop their deportation.

Your support and numbers can help to protect and make a difference to the lives of this wonderful family.

Friday 27th March

Liberal Democrat Leader Nick Clegg said:

“Today, people from across Sheffield will be coming together in the city centre to protest on behalf of Priviledge Thulambo.

“I want to add my voice to those of the protestors this afternoon who will be speaking out on behalf of Priviledge.

“Priviledge fled Zimbabwe using a fake Malawian passport, following horrific sexual abuse at the hands of Mugabe’s henchmen and the murder of her brother and husband.

“Now the Government is committed to deporting Priviledge to Malawi, where she will be transported back to Zimbabwe to face a perilous and uncertain future.

“This case illustrates the heartless approach from a Home Office more willing to look tough by deporting people than do the right thing. Taking such a legalistic approach to Priviledge shows that the Home Office is seeking to find any excuse or loophole to deport Zimbabwean nationals.”

” Iam doing everything possible to make sure that all the anger of the middle classes doesn’t turn into violence. That’s why we do all this play-acting. We’re being nice to the bankers – we’re burning them as effigies. Of course we don’t want violence. If there’s a huge ruck, the press will photograph it, and our vision about a different planet will not get reported.”

God you could not make this shit up could you Professor suspended over claims he incited G20 violence If these are the words from Professor of Anthropology Chris Knight then this protest is not about any real concern that the banking crises climate change is having on the working class, but about the loss of privilege for the Middle Class.

Along with The Hanging of  The Bankers from lamppost, we need to look at  The Hanging of Chris Knight and other class traitors who have sided with him, the likes of Knight and his friends are not on our side and never have been:

“After God had finished the rattlesnake, the toad, and the vampire, he had some awful substance left with which he made a scab.”

“A scab is a two-legged animal with a corkscrew soul, a water brain, a combination backbone of jelly and glue. Where others have hearts, he carries a tumor of rotten principles.”

“When a scab comes down the street, men turn their backs and angels weep in heaven, and the devil shuts the gates of hell to keep him out.”

“No man (or woman) has a right to scab so long as there is a pool of water to drown his carcass in, or a rope long enough to hang his body with. Judas was a gentleman compared with a scab. For betraying his master, he had character enough to hang himself.” A scab has not.

“Esau sold his birthright for a mess of pottage. Judas sold his Savior for thirty pieces of silver. Benedict Arnold sold his country for a promise of a commision in the british army.” The scab sells his birthright, country, his wife, his children and his fellowmen for an unfulfilled promise from his employer.

Esau was a traitor to himself; Judas was a traitor to his God; Benedict Arnold was a traitor to his country; a scab is a traitor to his God, his country, his family and his class.”

Author — Jack London (1876-1916)

underclassrising are as equally concerned, angry and fustrated about the system we live in, as anyone who supports the thoughts of anrchism. we agree the current state of capatism must change, to save both our society and our panet.

Anarchism today has begun to encompass a broader analysis of power and inequality, realizing the importance of equal struggles on behalf of class, race, gender, sexual preference and orientation, and every form of oppression that enslaves humanity and keeps people from being free. Anarchism is diverse, broad and demands social and cultural freedom in every sphere of life. Anarchists now, and have always, envision advancing a future world built on principles of freedom, direct democracy, mutual aid, solidarity and equality without rulers or masters.

But, What will taking to the streets in our thousands do at THIS moment in time? It will mearly cause (A) resentment from the wider nation; 7.2 million on tax payer money in policing Stop people (you say you support) getting to work, who are already struggling to bring in a wage. Likely damage and vandalism to people’s property Be immediately stamped as ‘anarchist yobs vandalise london’ (B) Allow the british government, after they have had (likely some form of confrontation/violence) on the streets, public damage, financial loss (for a country that is allready struggling) to bring in yet more authoritarian protest laws to PROHIBIT such protests in the future (which if they continue down their route) will come.

Ask yourselves;  WHAT WILL THIS ACHIEVE?

Controversial spying laws that were supposedly designed to fight ’serious crime’ have - surprise, surprise - been regularly abused by councils throughout England and Wales; but the extent of the abuse is startling.

According to the government’s ‘Office of Public Sector Information’ (OPSI – more like fucking ‘Oopsie’ if you ask us), The Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 (Ripa) “Provides for the interception of user logs and e-mails of suspected criminals by the security and intelligence services.” So far the Act has been used for the prevention of serious crimes like dogs shitting and the inappropriate use of chewing gum.

In five years UK councils have used the Act a staggering 10,000 times! - and we’re then expected to believe that things like the proposed National Database, compulsory ID Cards  and new ‘Anti-Terror’ laws will not be abused by present or future governments and local authorities.

The laws of England were founded on the principles enshrined by Magna Carta, principles that were originally intended to guarantee equal rights for all; regardless of their class, wealth, privilege or any other accident of birth. Magna Carta lay the foundation for things like trail by jury, Habeas Corpus,  the right to silence, the assumption of innocence before being proven guilty (all things which have been ignored by the present government – which, under Magna Carta, invalidates their right to govern).  But despite the Charters of Liberty (the Magna Carta combined with the oft forgotten/ignored Charter of the Forest – which guarantees our share of the natural resources of England) the laws of England now put the desires of the rich and powerful before the needs of the vast majority of people.

Men, women and children throughout history have died for the Liberties that we are now prepared to let slip through our fingers for the sake of our – so called – ’security’. If you feel safe thanks to the growing Database State then good luck to you, but you’d do well to remember the words of Benjamin Franklin…

“Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both.”

cctv_big_bro

For most of us this slow whittling away of our liberties will spell disaster for ourselves and our kids. Anyone who is not (quite literally) a card carrying member of Middle England will live as a second class citizen. The law has already failed the vast majority of us – this is why Bank Bosses Are Criminals (BBAC) were forced to break the law in order to seek justice – once again the ‘Just’ have been forced to become ‘Outlaws’, once again it’s a choice between Liberty or the Lawso who’s side are you on?

This a Repost fromlondon.indymedia.org

With only days to go before the massive protests against the G20 summit taking place in London, the Parliament’s Joint Select Committee on Human Rights has accused British police of being heavy-handed, misusing counter-terrorism laws and anti-social behavior legislation when dealing with demonstrators.

Socpa-medium
Londons SOCPA law abused by police

The right to protest is a fundamental democratic right and one that the state and police have a duty to protect and facilitate,“, said Andrew Dismore, Labour MP for Hendon and chair of the committee. ”

After a year of inquiry, the seventy page report by the Joint Select Committee on Human Rights raised serious concerns about the police forces ability to distinguish appropriate use of the powers they are given. The committee complained that police been routinely using “legal powers not designed to deal with protests such as anti-social behaviour legislation and the Protection from Harassment Act 1997″.

The report was damming about police abuse of stop and search powers to intimidate, unjustifiable seizures of personal property, and improper detention and containment of protesters. The committees chairman said, “The state must not impose restrictions unless it is necessary, and proportionate, to do so. That is a high threshold. The presumption is in favour of protest without state interference.

Mike Schwartz, a partner at London law firm Bindmans said, “The police have adopted mission creep. One of the symptoms is their misuse of the power of stop and search under the Terrorism Act. It is being misused because the police have the power to impose a blanket area, where any police officer can search anyone without reason for suspicion on the basis that a senior police officer has thought that there might be terrorist activity or terrorists operating in the area.”

Also under the spotlight was Police intimidation and monitoring of journalists, refusal to recognizing press cards, and accusations of obstruction and assault. The committee said it was unacceptable that journalists had to resort to taking court action against officers interfering with their work.

London’s Metropolitan Police Service excused their wide ranging misuse of power by saying, ”We will always facilitate lawful protest and are committed to doing so but do have to minimize the disruption caused to others going about their lawful business“.

The criticism follows a report was made to parliament last week into the abuse of police powers during the climate camp protests at Kingsnorth in 2008. The report and accompanying video documented systemic abuses of power including blanket stop and searches, arbitrary seizure of property, and a campaign of phycological intimidation which included sleep deprivation through helicopter overflying late into the night, mock night and dawn raids by tooled up riot police, and the infamous ‘Flight of the Valkyries’ incident.

David Howarth, Liberal Democrat Shadow Justice Secretary said, “What happened at the Climate Camp was deeply disturbing and part of what seems to be a disturbing national trend. Political agendas have no place in policing.

Defending Kent police’s handling of the Kingsnorth protest, Home Office minister Vernon Croaker had claimed that seventy officers had sustained injuries in clashes with protestors. However a Freedom of Information act request proved that the police chiefs had misled parliament as no officers had really been injured in clashes at all.

Lib Dem MP David Taylor told the Commons: “We were told that [the police behavior] was justified because dozens of injuries were incurred. We have now found that those injuries were of a more prosaic origin—they were due to things such as insect stings and sunstroke. Unless the protesters are to be held responsible for wasps and the weather, are we not to conclude that the justification used at the time was wholly bogus and vacuous?

Attempt some damage control after the damning report, the Kent Police chiefs have now voluntarily referred complaints about the actions of it’s officers to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.

Even before the these two reports in Parliament, the extent of political policing had been further exposed by the Guardian article revealing that the police have been building up a database of thousands of political activists as well as harassing sympathetic journalists. , 2)

Meanwhile however, the police propaganda department has launched it’s annual offensive against mass protester. They’ve flooded the mainstream media with pieces on the much hyped ’summer of rage’ in which they began to lay the foundations to justify heavy handed suppression over the coming months.
